Located in Worcester County, the Quabbin Regional School District serves students, families and community members in five rural, central Massachusetts towns - Barre, Hardwick, Hubbardston, New Braintree and Oakham – while offering its academic opportunities to more than two hundred school choice students from more than twenty sending towns. The District is governed by one school committee with fifteen members from the five member towns. The superintendent serves as the parliamentarian.
Each of the member towns has its own elementary school. Hardwick Elementary School in Hardwick’s Gilbertville Village educates approximately 200 students. The School was built in 1992. The property has 40.2284 acres is a single floor design, 1 gymnasium, 15 classrooms, and 100 parking spaces.
